Speaking of the touch screen, I do have to say it’s probably the only downfall of the printer itself. The apps that HP offer on the printer are a nice bonus as well, you can print everything from coupons, to maps, to newsletters, to empty outlines of Disney characters that your kids can color in when they’re bored! You can do all this while the printer is connected to your existing wireless network, right from the printers touch screen. We currently accept the following memory cards: Memory Stick Duo, Secure Digital(SD)/MultimediaCard(MMC) Don’t forget about the memory card slot, where you can insert your cameras memory card and either print straight from the card, or copy them to your computer for safe keeping!

Not much to say about scanning, it scans quite nicely, also scans to PDF if you have any documents lying around or want to take it on the go on your mobile devices. Top tray for envelopes/photo paper, bottom tray for copier paper! One thing to keep in mind though, make sure the raw photo file is in good quality to begin with, don’t expect visually stunning photos with your 1.3megapixel phone camera of all your friends at the beach! The photos turned out very nice off either my 8megapixel DroidX camera, and my moms 14megapixel camera.

But I honestly have to say, the quality on these prints are absolutely astounding! I felt like I just got a print fresh off Costco or some professional developer.

The auto-duplexing allows you to 2-sided print also, which is a great tree saving feature, and also very cool! Don’t be surprised when the paper gets sucked back into the printer :pĪlthough rates are hindered greatly when printing photos! For a full 4×6 photo on photo paper, it takes around 20~30 seconds for a print to go through. Pricing on ink is pretty affordable though, at about 10 bucks a cartridge, so about 2.5cents a print for each black, and 3cents per color.(I found a combo pack with all 3 colors and 85 sheets of premium photo paper for only $30)Īs for print rate, I’d say it’s at around20~25 PPM(Pages per minute) for just printing a typed out essay or webpage, and maybe about 10~15PPM for a page with color. Ink yield is average at best, prints about 250 blacks and around 300 colors on regular cartridges. Let’s start with the printing statistics. Set-up is a breeze, just stash it somewhere, plug in the power, plug in the USB cable if applicable, turn it on, let it update, and start printing! Okay lets get straight to the point, this is one of my favorite printers I’ve ever owned (Don’t take my word for it though, I’ve only had about 2 previous printers) It does what you want it to, it prints, it scans, and it has apps, it just doesn’t flush your toilet for you. Dual paper trays, one for photo paper/envelops, one for regular paper.
